Abstract
Government though the Ministry of Health has introduced a policy through Health Maintenance Program for Minor Community. This program allows communities that are categorized as poor to obtain free medical care at the health centers or hospital as long as they can provide some required documents. Using this scheme, some problems arise when the poor travels far from home and needs medication service. Since the data that contains medical history resides in the local area, it does not have interconnection with some other areas, hence it can be concluded that it is impossible to obtain free medical care without the supporting data. In this paper we develop an Internet-based information system that can be used to review the status of the poor. It is expected that the system will interconnect to similar system in different areas to guarantee the reliability of the program that has been introduced. In this system, patients medical history will be recorded to help a doctor in deciding an appropriate action in handling patients. Moreover, a general data like certain kind of illnesses suffered by particular residents in particular area can be retrieved from this new system.
