Abstract

Recognizing the importance of character education development, due to concern for the moral decline of the Indonesian young generation and appeal from the minister on the anniversary The National Education Day 2011,then in this research, using qualitative methods and development, educational development has been designed in character through the thinking process profile of mathematics problem solving based classification of personality types. Solving mathematical problems was chosen because it is an important material in mathematics education and is believed to be used to establish character education. The findings obtained from this study indicate that the profiles approach the process of thinking based classification of personality types, then the character education can be built, because each student was approache do the basis of personality of each.
