Abstract

Access to health services is the core of healthcare system wherever it is located. In health services, access is defined as access to services, providers and health institutions, both in the form of physical access and non-physical access (in this case digital access). To ensure equitable access to health services, the Ministry of Health of Republic of Indonesia through the Directorate of Referral Health Services provides a telemedicine or remote health service, by transmitting medical information, imagery, bio-signals, videos, and medical expertise and care from one location to another through telecommunication line. This paper will design a system and technology architecture from one of the sub-systems of telemedicine, namely teleradiology which was developed based on the needs set by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia through the Directorate of Referral Health Services.
