Abstract

The development of science allows technologies were created to facilitate human life. One of them is sensor. Sensor is allowing humans to monitor the conditions around them with a more detail and accurate, so it can provide better analyzing, and become more alert with the changes that occur in the vicinity or in places that are far away which does not allow human existence. One of its applications is in industry, especially in the industry where there is a steam boiler system that boils some kind of liquid with a high temperature. Wireless Sensor Network was designed using micro controller, a set of sensors, and communication module. The communication media used for data transmission in this research is WiFi with UDP as IP protocol. The result is a sensor field that is capable for monitoring a steam boiler system and giving the warning about the liquid level and the temperature to the monitoring station. This system is also able controlling valve to regulate fluid flow in steam boilers.
