Abstract

This project is two-dimensional animated film that tries to combine two-dimensional animated film to comics as a new breakthrough innovation to meet the challenges ahead if animated films and comic books began to be abandoned. The problem faced by authors is how to combine both the animation and comic media so that it becomes a new animated media which still displays the characteristics of both media. The method used is observation and literature study. The author hope this project could be developed further to create a new product variant for the world of animation and comic. The authors make use of panels and word balloons in comic strips to be applied to screen the animated film in which there are images that move so as to generate new synergies. The author would like to change the assumption that the two-dimensional animated film belongs only to the children, using the teens as the target audience. The conclusion that the synergy of these two communication media is very possible, therefore it need further development, in order to find new media and fresh communication.
