Abstract

Many manufacturing operations primarily at small and medium handled chaotic, inventory piled up, spare parts / supplies accelerated / reproduced to order out in time, one of which there are problems with the Nix Catering. Nix Catering is a company engaged in the food industry that provides food offerings for employees. From these observations during the handling of information in the field of raw materials requirements planning, and production planning is still done manually, resulting in delays to the production process due to lack of availability of raw materials that should be available. Also often occur residual buildup of unused raw materials, among them the raw materials that are not durable. To overcome the problem of inventory system was then created Inventory Management Information System which is used in a particular catering company such as Nix Catering by using the MRP method. MRP (Material Requirements Planning) is a logical procedure, rule making and computerized recording techniques that are designed to translate the MPS (Master Production Schedule) or the Master Production Schedule into Net Requirement (net requirements) for all items. The trial results yield information system inventory of raw materials of food that can show the total demand for raw materials, calculate the minimum value of total cost of inventory, and can make a list of components, the composition and amount of any parts needed to make a single cuisine.
