Abstract

Advances in technology and information aimed at assisting the achievement of human needs where space and time is no longer a hindrance in providing information. The computer system at this time grew up to have the ability to approach the analysis of human thinking. Artificial Intelligence aims to provide the ability for computer systems in general in order to assist humans in decision making. Pattern recognition is one area of computer vision in which a machine has artificial intelligence by being given the ability to have a vision like humans. Pattern recognition is used to distinguish objects from one another. In a topic that is taken by the author, pattern recognition is used to distinguish between a normal brain image or images with brain infark stroke. Brain as an input image will be corrected by digital image processing techniques. The results of image processing will be used as training data in the process of pattern recognition by computing eigenvalues. Then an image of the test will be determined through the system closer to where the pattern of training data. Stroke disease became a case study in the discussion because these types of diseases, including type of disease most often encountered at this point other than cancer. At the end of this assignment will be discussed on digital image processing, image as an eigenvalue algorithms use pattern recognition image of the brain that can give the output is included in the normal brain stroke or brain infark.
