Abstract

Enrollment is a process that takes place before teaching and learning activities in a semester does. Every active student must take enrollment. The main purpose of enrollment is to choose course and course's schedule for each student. Scheduling is a process that takes place before enrollment which assigns course and how many courses schedule that will be opened in the next semester. The main purpose of scheduling is to set course's schedule for the next semester. The current enrollment system in STIKOM Surabaya now is using desktop-based application (Oracle Form), and scheduling in STIKOM Surabaya is still done manually. Business processes on enrollment can be simplified into lesser processes. This can be achieved by removing re-registration process. When scheduling, an error occurred in plotting schedule. Error on plotting schedule is that schedule exceeded the capacity of available classes. The new system can simplify business process of enrollment and reduce error on schedule plotting which is caused by class capacity. And also, the new system of enrollment and scheduling is web based which enable enrollment and scheduling not only from STIKOM but also from outside STIKOM.
